Girls Camp: Fourth Year Hike Info...

We will be meeting at on Friday, June 26^th to drive out past Forks and by La Push to hike at the Rialto Beach and then hit First, Second, and Third Beaches.  We’ll camp that night at the Mora campground (it has working restrooms, too!).  We will be cooking our dinner and breakfast the next morning as part of our 4^th year certification requirements (food provided by the stake).  YW will be asked to bring a lunch for and whatever snacks they can pack and will eat during our hiking and after breakfast, we’ll break camp and drive to Sol Duc Hot Springs.  There’s a hike to the Sol Duc Falls there that we’ll do and then jump in the Hot Springs for a nice soak.  After we’ve had our fill of the warm water, we’ll make our way back to the Stake Center, hopefully arriving around 5:30-6pm. 

We would like to encourage the 4^th years to start (or continue) doing walks or hiking to prepare their legs and feet for this hike.  Make sure you wear good, comfortable shoes, either hiking boots or good tennis shoes.  These hikes are not difficult but bad footwear will make them miserable.  The total mileage we hope to do is between 8-10 miles plus the Sol Duc Falls trails that can add between 3-5 miles.
